About

What is Through a Forest Wilderness?

Through a Forest Wilderness is a book blog with reviews, book news, and author interviews. A variety of genres are reviewed here, including mysteries, historical fiction, young adult fiction, science fiction, fantasy, and contemporary fiction. Occasionally, there will be nonfiction.

Who Writes the Posts?

All of the posts are written by Carrie Goodall, unless a guest blogger is identified. I am a school librarian and a lifetime lover of books.

Where Did the Name Come From?

The blog name was taken from the quote by John Muir at the top of the page. The quote has both a literal and a metaphorical meaning to me. I believe, like Muir, that time spent in nature can reveal so much to us and can be very healing. Time spent in the “forest wilderness” of books also offers revelation and healing. This blog will be dedicated to exploring the forest wilderness of books.
